On Sunday 24 April 2022 Kent Nagano conducts the premiere of a new production, by Kornél Mundruczó, of Wagner’s Tannhauser at Staatsoper Hamburg, with ten additional performances across this and next season. The stellar cast includes Klaus Florian Vogt in the title role, Christoph Pohl as Wolfram von Eschenbach, Jennifer Holloway as Elisabeth, Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Venus and Georg Zeppenfeld as Landgraf Hermann.
